1. I recently saw, and thoroughly enjoyed, Waitress. My reasons for enjoying it aren't even mostly because of Nathan Fillion (although that was most of the reason for watching it in the first place). You should all see it.
2. When I returned from Christmas Vacation at home in California my PIN was totally erased from my head. I could remember some of the numbers but I couldn't remember the order. I spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what I learned during my two weeks at home that my brain thought was more important then my PIN. Here is the scary part, I've had then PIN for like 7 years, this isn't a new PIN. Don't worry though I finally went to the bank and got it figured out.
3. It is a pet peeve of mine when people call it a "PIN number". the 'N' stands for 'Number' so what you just said is "personal identification number number" and you are an idiot.
4. I'm trying really hard not to let this turn into an "I love Logan Echolls" blog. I realize that you have only seen one post about it but I have thought about posting others and it is almost all I can do to keep from talking about it all the time.

Who the hell is Mike Gravel?
Okay so I like to think that I pay attention to the news, especially on big issues like people running for president but apparently not because Mike Gravel is running for president and, according to a 10 question internet quiz, shares my most important beliefs.
I matched 88% with Mike Gravel, 79% Barack Obama (who is not a muslim), and 76% John Edwards (who doesn't have a chance of getting any nominations but has great hair).
If you would like to take the same 10 question quiz and find out who your presidential love match is, go here.

Logan v. Duncan
So the writers' strike sucks. Anything that prevents me from getting new episodes of The Office and How I Met Your Mother and the too numerous to count other shows that I watch sucks. Sucks like a lot. BUT rather than be depressed about it I've decided to look for a silver lining. I've watched early episodes of shows that I came into in seasons 3 or 4, and most importantly I've been watching shows that I never got a chance to watch when they were on in the first place which brings us to ....... Veronica Mars.
Kailey and I have been watching Veronica Mars and I revel in its awesomeness, if you haven't seen it go rent the dvds, you will not be disappointed, I mean what else are you watching??? exactly!
I refuse to give anything away for those who haven't watched it yet - and we are only on Season Two Episode Two so don't you DARE give anything away from the remainder of the show - but I have to say this: in the debate of Logan v. Duncan, I'm with Logan. There I said it! I put it out there on the internet for all to behold! I prefer Logan Echolls over Duncan Kane!

It is Their Fault!
Okay go to this site, click on Portfolio and pick a picture of any celebrity there. Move your cursor on and off the picture to see the before retouching and after retouching.
Ummm WHY do we have a unnatural sense of what beauty is? Apparently beauty is washed-out, waxy, freckleless, non-wispy hair, and no muscle tone. And beauty is also skinny, curvy, and zitless but those ones I knew.
As Kailey said: "They aren't pictures they are FICTURES, fictional pictures! Why do they even have people pose for them at all?"

One Year in Austin
I've been in Austin for a year now and I thought I'd share with you a few of the more 'choice' tidbits from my year.
Teacher: "Okay wait let me get a pen, okay now, where is the male strip club again?"
44-year-old Man: "So I am going to buy them for $5 and sell them for $10....wait....that makes money right?"
Guy: "They are practically communists out in California."
Me: "Actually, they are more like Socialists."
Guy: "No way! We are way more socialable here."
Me: "Right."
Teacher (out of nowhere mind you): "We run a considerable risk of offending African-Americans when we call them 'darkies.' "
Class: *stunned look of disbelief*
Me: "If I didn't know, I totally wouldn't know."
Teacher: "When I say you have brains full of mush I don't mean that in a nice way."
Teacher: "My wife spends most of my money."
Woman: "Where does Thai food come from?"
Church Sign:
DON'T FORGET
THE REASON FOR THE SEASON...
JESUS
OR OUR TROOPS
P.S. Happy Birthday Kristin!!!!

Home for Christmas
It was so nice being able to go home for a couple weeks for Christmas and see the family and my friends there. Getting there was kind of tough because I stood in line for over two hours waiting to check-in and my flight left before I could even check-in for it. And actually returning was a tiny hassle when they couldn’t find my reservation, stupid American Airlines. Upside though, I almost have enough frequent flyer miles to fly home for free!! Yay!!
In a sort of good news/bad news situation my grandmother fell and broke her shoulder and knee a couple weeks before Christmas (actually a couple days before my uncle’s wedding) so she is pretty immobile and needs someone to be there to bring here meals and fetch things from downstairs. Obviously, that is the bad news, the good news is that I was the one on duty for a few days and I actually got to spend a lot more time with my grandmother than I probably would have if this didn’t happen so silver lining there.
Christmas was fun, my family still gets up early and opens presents at like 7/8am and for reference the youngest is 18 so yeah we are “young at heart” and we like Christmas.
